Sensory Lexicon

🍓🍒🍋🍈A lexicon of flavors for an aromatic wheel🍉🍑🍍🍇🍑🍍🍇. . The idea of developing an aromatic wheel and lexicon is nothing new. There are established examples already, which my work is heir to and builds on. Thanks to the work of SCA, Counter Culture and CoffeeMind.

Why develop this work if there are other wheels? Because I felt there was a need when I have given sensory classes. My goal is to solve some of these problems: lack of aromatic variability, aroma-flavor confusions in the wheel, undervaluing the importance of fruity aromas when nowadays coffees increasingly show this character, aromas and references centered on a single culture?

You will find 95 fruits from all over the world, divided into 5 categories and 14 subgroups, all following color codes and scientific names.

The lexicon, however, is based on the idea of taste, as many people still relate smell and taste in order to recognize and learn unknown fruits. In this way you will find intensities of tastes, textures, aromas and fermentation levels for each fruit.
